Los Angeles, CA, United States

Los Angeles is famed as the center of the nation’s film and television industry. Not far from its iconic Hollywood sign, studios such as Paramount Pictures, Universal and Warner Brothers offer behind-the-scenes tours. On Hollywood Boulevard, TCL Chinese Theater displays celebrities’ hand- and footprints, the Walk of Fame honors thousands of luminaries and vendors sell maps to stars’ homes. The city is surrounded by vast mountain ranges, valleys, forests, and beautiful beaches along the Pacific Ocean. LA's sunny reputation, and for the most part an accurate reading, precedes itself. Come soak up the sun as you walk down Sunset or Santa Monica Blvd and do as the locals do, eat Mexican food and check out some of the music venues.

The display draws on both the museum’s archive and the director’s personal collection, including items taken from his home in Los Angeles in Westlake...

It's always fun to find articles that you forgot you wrote! I particularly loved writing this one for LGBT travelers - especially since they always think WeHo is the place to be (trust me when I say, it is, but it isn't!): http://www.santamonica.com/visit-santa-monica/lgbt-tourists/

It's no secret, Angelenos have alfresco dining down pat. But, sometimes we'd rather skip the meal altogether and make a beeline for the bar. Sure, that stiff drink may be as many calories as a bowl of pasta, but none of that matters when you're taking in those Instagram-worthy L.A. sunsets after a

To quote Frank Ocean, "It usually doesn't rain in Southern California, much like Arizona." But today's not one of those days. It's been raining on and off all day today. I for one love the rain, because it's a nice change from crazy hot temperatures, it also gives me an excuse to stay in and have a relaxing day. And it's oh so beautiful...

Los Angeles may be featured in many television shows; but nothing beats actually being in the city itself. At the Griffith Observatory you can overlook the entire city. On your way up to the Griffith take a look at the beautiful homes nestled in the hills. Visit the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel where the ghost of Marilyn Monroe still haunts to this day. Take a walk down Hollywood Blvd and see the many Stars on the Walk of Fame!

When looking for places to shop, LA has you covered. One of the biggest being The Grove. It has lots of stores, restaurants, & movie theatre. It is constantly throwing events for the public. There is a nice grassy area where you can use a blanket provided and relax for a while. #thegrove #shopping

Sunsets on the Pacific Ocean are incredible to see. One of my favorite spots to watch the sunset is on the beach in Malibu by Malibu Pier. I love the pier in the background while watching the sun sink into the ocean & slip behind the mountains. Where is your favorite spot to watch the sun go down? #sunset #malibu

If you're in the Southern California area April 15th-17th &/or April 22-24, the annual Coachella Music Festival is going on in Indio near Palm Springs! It's one of the hottest celebrity filled festivals of the year, and costs a small fortune to attend. I'll be there next weekend for my first time and I honestly can not wait!

Alfred Coffee is another amazing spot that you HAVE to go to! They have a few locations, but my favorite is the one one Melrose. It's a bit on the pricey side, but everything is really good. If you don't drink coffee, their chai tea is also wonderful either hot or iced, and anything can be made with dairy-free milk which is great. I recommend the "Alfred Cone" - an edible chocolate-dipped waffle cone shaped in a cup for espresso. SO GOOD! :)
