What are some of the best places to explore around Phuket for hiking and views?
The island of Phuket is one of the main provinces of Thailand. Up to the 20th century, Phuket’s main economy source was tin mining. Currently, the island’s economy relies on rubber tree plantations and tourism. Phuket’s main city, Patong is the tourist center of the island. The city has beautiful beach in the morning and a vibrant nightlife in the evening. In 2004, Phuket was struck by the tsunami caused by the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquakes. Since then, the island has recovered and welcomes thousands of visitors every day.
